Heard Bon Jovi’s new song (from their latest album) in X Factor in last week’s rock week.  But not until I saw the following video did I really appreciate it that much.  Well, been a Bon Jovi fan since the ‘Bed of Roses’ time… so it amazes me to see them still actively composing songs and performing until now.

Yes, my dear friends.. That’s KimuTaku (SmapXSmap) with Bon Jovi.  Laughed so hard when he said, “Keep the ‘face’!”  Well, if you’ve been living in Japan for quite some time or if you’re watching J-Doramas and anime a lot, you will know that he meant–”Keep the faith!”

I was giggling all through ‘It’s My Life’ because I can clearly hear KimuTaku singing.  What do you think of their ‘duet’ performance?

Oh, and KimuTaku really tried so hard to introduce Bon Jovi well in the beginning.  4 Thumbs up!!! 

Btw, Obama is also included in the promotional video of Bon Jovi’s new album here in Japan.  Haha!  Now I want to buy one.    Teehee.

Edit: I just found out that Obama is in the original music video.  Princess D too, and others.  Coolness!

Just got the entire Glee Soundtrack and I’m lovin’ it as ever. For those of you who are not yet following it, do it! Right now! Next week, the 9th episode will be aired and I just can’t wait.

Anyway, my favorite songs from the album are:

1. Don’t Stop Believin’ (Of course… the Pilot was successful because of this.)
2. Sweet Caroline (So much better if watched.)
3. Can’t Fight This Feeling (The song that discovered Finn.  Or the song that allowed Mr. Schue to discover Finn.  Something like that.)
4. No Air (LSS for so many days and counting…)
5. Somebody to Love (Especially the part when it’s becoming ‘Lion King-ish’… )

Anyway, I like all their songs.  Even Emma’s ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’ is so cute.  Rachel’s ‘Taking Chances’ and ‘Take a Bow’ are also listenable the whole day.  Sadly, the mash-ups are not in the album.

But what intrigued me is this song: Defying Gravity.  Haven’t heard it from any of the aired episodes just yet, so this might come out soon.  I wonder how Kurt and Rachel would end up singing the duet.

Just read from YouTube comments that this is part of the Wicked Musical.  Wow!  Haven’t watched it but would’ve loved to.  There are chances to watch here in Japan, but I suppose the Japanese version is quite a different experience from the English one, especially if I can’t understand most of the parts.  Hihihi.  So… Broadway, wait for me!

Yes!  I have seen it!

I have heard his version of ‘Live Like We’re Dying’ by The Script before and as Nyaw and I agreed, you need to listen to it more than once to learn to love it.

But man, with the video… you only need see it once and only once.  Goes to show how you need to see Kris perform to ‘hear’ him better.

Yeah, such a lame word… for it is always used to refer to something great or something more than just nice.  But oh well, what can I say?  AWESOME!

Oh, and if you are wondering about Adam Lambert, he also has a music video released some time back.  His debut song will be in the soundtrack of some movie 2012, I think.  Let me check again.

I saw from Facebook about the limited offer to the first 1000 buyers of Kris Allen’s debut album.  Sadly, my chance of getting this signed lithograph is 0%!!! because the offer is only for US buyers.  Waaa!!!  Anyway, for those of you out there who want to help out a little girl get one of these, please comment/send me a message. I will find ways to pay the $19. ^^  Well, I just feel like I’ve been part of Kris’ success, ahem, being one of those who recognized him ever since ‘Man in the Mirror’.  So please, this is kinda important.

On other news, Britney spears just made a ‘huge’ comeback with her newest music video (out just last Nov. 1).  Here it is:

All I can say is that, at least, Britney looks better than what she has been.  She’s got all muscly and stuff, but blonder and as daring as ever too.  I have no qualms against her ‘Toxic’ self, you see.  It’s just that I knew her as the lovely girl in ‘Sometimes’… but you know, she can’t remain girly forever.  I was thinking that perhaps, she’s turning into a blonde Beyonce.  No, no, no.  New Madonna, as what she always wanted to be?  Perhaps.  Well, for whatever it’s worth, I think her catchy (although repetitive) ‘3′ will do her great once again.

I will always love you, Britney. 

Today, I have discovered another amazing artist(s) in YouTube.  Artist(s) ‘coz they’re twins! ^^  They’re so lovely and they sing so well… Wow!  I suddenly imagined how could it have been if I had a twin sister.

What do they have in their genes that they’re so talented when it comes to music?  Talk about David Choi.  And Sungha!  I should ask Bean, our new postdoc in the lab, if he’s also a musician.  He’s Korean too.

I like his covers of female pop artists (Britney, Katy…)   Teehee!  David, come to Japan!!!

And Sungha?  Come on, where have you been?  He’s a legend in the making.  Or perhaps, he already is.

Oh, speaking of Koreans and Music: one day in my freshman college life, I brought my guitar to school and tried to play ‘Grow Old With You’.  You know, the one by Adam Sandler.  And then, a Korean guy passed by.

“Can you come here tomorrow again, same time, with your guitar?”

“Ummm, why?” Dazed.

“I want to record your song.”

I told him I did not compose that song or anything and that I just learned it that day for Jamie, I think, gave me the chords.  But he insisted.

Next day (after long argument with self if I should go or not): Coolness recorder.  Eng’s voice and crappy guitar playing. XD

But I think he enjoyed it.

Forgot his name… but I thought, well, in some corner in Korea, my voice might probably still be playing until now.  Huahaha!  (I wish.)

I want to go to Korea.

It’s always a fun yet stressful activity to move from one place to another, however near or far that new place is.  I have been moving a lot in my entire life and I do find the joy in doing so.

However, I only realized the difficulty of doing such today: How to deal with a refrigerator? From 5th floor of one building to 5th floor of another?  Hmmnn…  Not to mention that there’s no elevator involved.  And there’s only the two of us who’s gonna do it! XD

I am very grateful that Nyaw is helping me soooo much with this transfer.

Today is such a windy day.  I find it so cold~~ outside, aside from the fact that after 10 years, I took a bath without heater because I still haven’t had the gas activated.  Can’t remember that Fall is this chilly.  One time in the morning, it’s sunny and warm.  Then suddenly, the clouds rush over to cover sunshine and the winds attack with strong blows.  Hihi…  I wonder what the trees feel… experiencing this out in the open, having leaves fall down.  Is it sad?

Well, in a way, moving is like Fall.  Everything you have drop into boxes… get moved… just to find its place anew.

Last week, Nyaw and I were extremely shocked with the bottom 2 results.  Come on!!!  Those were the two best performances last week… at the bottom?!  What’s wrong with UK voters?

Anyway, just a few observations from last week:

1. Feeling Good is a cursed song to sing in contests.  Seriously. Remember how Adam Lambert nailed it (and stopped time even) during that performance in last season’s Idol and he landed in the bottom 2?  Well, to remind you of it, here are the videos.  I embed Danyl’s version too, to compare.  As good as Danyl is and as much as we like him (really!), I still think Adam’s version was more memorable.  It struck us!
   
   
2. Don’t say something you don’t want to happen. When Miss Frank said, “we don’t want the song that made us to be the song that breaks us”, it hit me.  Oh my… it was a sign!  But yeah, that performance of theirs was the only one of that night that made me teary-eyed.  Too bad, they were eliminated so early.  Would’ve been funner and more exciting to see them in Rock Week.
3. Bad publicity is still publicity. The Twincest John and Edward says it all.

And this week, Danyl was devastated.  What was that?  Singing one of my favorite songs of all time like that in the beginning… And I even said, “I think the accompaniment is out of tune.”  Haha!  Talk about loyalty to him.  Anyway, that was really bad.  I got a breather when he got to the greater parts later in the song.  But really, please don’t be hard on him.  Let’s give him back his 150% self!

So, whatever the results are, I am sooooo anxious about.  Because as Nyaw and I said, if Danyl is out for such a reason this week, then X Factor is dead.  Think Lloyd and the Twins in the finals.
